Headache:

Causes:- Excessive gas, bile, and phlegm due to irregularities in diet or to strenuous mental exertion; fever, syphilis or gonorrhea; nervous debility; sexual debility; excessive seminal discharges; constipation; indigestion ; anemia; nocturnal emissions; menstrual irregularities; worms; drunkenness etc.

Symptoms: Pain in the head, burning eyes and nose, retching, heavy head, coldness, throbbing temples or head, inability to tolerate light, dim vision, heavy eyelids, red face, frequent yawning, acidity, bilious vomiting, loss of memory, blindness, hardness of hearing, insomnia, etc.

Treatment:- Maha Lakshmibilas with betel leaf juice, ginger, and honey. Brihat Dasamul Taila should be snuffled into the nose and massaged on the temples, neck, and throat. For bilious patients Sarabindu Taila should be snuffled up the nose. If there is loss of appetite, indigestion, acidity, nose-bleed, otorrhea, or post-delivery ailing, Maha Lakshmibilas is the best remedy. Should this medicine fail to cure, Naradiya Maha Lakshmibilas is sure to do so. It is stimulant, spermatic, antihemorrhagic, etc. Ginger or betel leaf juice and honey should accompany both medicines. Sirasulantak and Sadhana Balm are also good for headache.
