Vomiting And Nausea:
Cause : Excessive drinking or eating, when not hungry, indigestion, worms, and pregnancy. By these, the balance of air, bile, and phlegm is upset.
Symptoms: Vomiting tendency, belching, salty saliva, and reluctance to eat. Vomiting in pregnancy is not serious.
Treatment: Eladi Churna, Brisadhwaja Ras, Rasendra, etc. If the vomiting occurs as a result of indigestion, give Sankha Bati, Mahasankha Bati, Bhaskar Lavan, etc. Vomiting often brings on hiccough. Then give Pippa- ladya Lauha. When there is biliary fever, use anti-bilious and febrifugal medicines.
Diet: Rice (old stock), mugh or maskalai lentil soup, tops of rattan plant, cardamon, ripe cocoanut, lemon, emblic myrobalan, mango, orange, crab-apple, myrobalan, pomegranate, neem, vasak, and nutmeg.
