Cerebral Congestion:
Cause: Good diet without activity, sudden suppression of skin diseases, suppression of perspiration, hard drinking and high pulmonary circulation.
Symptoms: Flushed and swollen face, brain fever, pain in the temples and on the palate, scanty and reddish urine, inability to bear loud noise and bright light.
Treatment: Brihat Chintamani, Chintamani Chaturmukh, Aswagandharista, Sidda Makardhwaja, Krisna Chaturmukh. Where there is high pulmonary circulation, give Arjunarista or Hridayarnaba Ras; where there is suppressed skin disease, give Saribadi Salsa. The medicine Sira Sulantak is quite able to remove all traces of the disease in one dose.
Diet: Liquid food. There should be no physical or mental excitment. The patient must rest. Ice or an ice-cold cloth should be kept on the temples.
