Hernia:
Accidental opening of the abdominal viscera is called hernia.
Causes: Horse-back riding, continuous long walking, strenuous work, violent laughing, crying, sneezing, and coughing. These things may produce an opening in the abdomen through which the viscera fall.
Symptoms: Pain, vomiting, fever, flatulence, constipation.
Treatment: Pressing the viscera back into place. If this is not done, the disease may be fatal. Give Saribadi Salsa and Sasisekhar Ras with ground myrobalam and rocksalt. If the testicles become large, massage them with Saindhabadya Taila or Suskamuladya Taila and apply fomentation of sheep fur.
