Obesity And Corpulence:
A juice is formed from digested food. When this juice is not fully absorbed into the body, fat grows. When the fat stores up under the skin, the patient has obesity.
Symptoms: Breathing trouble, gasping after small exertion, thirst, over-sleeping, over-eating, perspiration, body odor and loss of strength.
Treatment: Barabagni Lauha with ghee and honey daily, and Brihat Singhanad Guggulu at two or three day intervals. When obesity has become chronic, give Lauha Rasayan with hot milk.
Diet: Rice (old stock ), lentils (mugh, arahar, musuri, gram), bitter foods, astringent and acid foods, baked eggplant, mustard and sesame oils are good. Fish, meat, and butter should be avoided.
