Treatment Of Sterility and Pain In The Breast and Poisonous Breast and Scanty Milk In Ayurved

Sterility

A woman conceives when a sperm fertilizes her ovum. She may become barren for many causes. The semen of the male may have no living spermatozoa due to blockage in the complicated passages along which they have to travel or due to their non-formation in the testes. Similarly a woman may be sterile due to failure in ovulation or occlusion of the fallopian tubes. Or perhaps the penis is not inserted far enough to contact the uterus. If a woman is barren for the male’s fault, it is useless to medicate her. If she is barren because of ovarian troubles, prescribe Nasta Puspantak Ras, Falakalyan Ghrita, or Kumar Kalpadrum Ghrita. By taking the last two medicines women get cured of giving birth to still-born babies, or short-living children. Frequent miscarriages and abortions are also cured by these medicines. They come as heavenly gifts to women in trouble. Kumar Kalpadrum Ghrita is the best of all medicines for female diseases and may be always taken during pregnancy. Asokarista, Abalabandhab Jog, Saribadi Salsa, and Saribadi Bati are also good for this disease.

Pain In The Breast

During pregnancy some women have pain in their breasts. Mostly it is rheumatic, in which case Madhyam- Narayan Taila is very useful. If it is believed not to be due to rheumatism, massage Mahadasamul Taila. Saribadi Bati is to be taken.

Poisonous Breast

The baby lives on the mother’s milk. If the milk is poisonous, the baby gets sick. The mother must be treated with Dasamularista, and Brihat Mandar Taila should be massaged on the breast.

Scanty Milk

To have a plentiful supply of milk from the breast, give the mother Bhumi Kusmanda Churna with honey along with Saragunbalijarita Makaradhwaja, Jirakady- arista, and Kumar Kalpadrum Ghrita.
